IN THE BEGINNING Richard Lamontagne, at the time Vice-President of sales for Nabisco Brands, founded Lamontagne Chocolate in 1980. Having operated the fund-raising division at Nabisco for many years, fund-raising truly became his passion, and his new career ambition. The company's aim has always been to provide schools, non-profit community groups and sports teams easy and profitable fund-raising solutions. In 1980, Lamontagne Chocolate offered its clients one product: the famous Lowney chocolate bars which sold for $1.00 and were personalized with the selling organization's name. THE FASTEST GROWING COMPANY IN FUND-RAISING Many things have changed since the one-product company of 1980! Today Lamontagne Chocolate is the largest fund-raising company in Canada. The chocolate product line has increased from one to 14 regular products, plus a complete line of ORDER TAKER BROCHURES incorporating over 100 items, as well as a new UNFROZEN COOKIE DOUGH. In 1996, Lamontagne Chocolate acquired Chocolat Jean & Charles of Montréal. Our manufacturing facility now employs over 100 people, and relies on state-of-the-art production equipment.
